Refugee Week is a UK-wide festival celebrating the contribution, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. Founded in 1998 and held every year around World Refugee Day on the 20th of June, Refugee Week is also a growing global movement.
The theme of Refugee Week 2021 is ‘We Cannot Walk Alone’, an invitation to extend your hand to someone new. Someone who is outside your current circle, has had experience in something different than you, or is fighting for a cause you are not yet involved in.
This year, Mercato Metropolitano will once again participate to Refugee Week. To celebrate this amazing initiative, Mercato Metropolitano has partnered with Paola Mileo from Feeling Home and Abdullah Al Alwayed, Head Chef at Damascus Chef.
