Meet Andrea Rasca, Mercato Metropolitano’s CEO and Chief Leader of the MM Movement

From the moment I started MM, I dreamed of creating an opportunity for everyone to learn more about the food we eat and the way we work in this world. This dream has become the MM Academy, which offers tailored development programmes to cohorts of local and international students, employed staff and entrepreneurs in the areas of food & beverage, hospitality, community and sustainability.

We at MM aim to provide educational opportunities and learning resources around food, sustainability, and personal development for our coMMunity of staff, interns, and followers.

Andrea founded the first MM pilot site in Milan in 2015, after over 25 years’ experience within the food sector, focusing on the design and implementation of internationalization strategies for major Italian food companies and the development of food retail projects, including nine branches of Eataly in Japan.

Andrea is the main drive behind the MMovement and has an impressive network of world-class ope- rotors and professionals within the food and agri- cultural sectors.
