We started with a pilot project in 2015, during the World Expo in Milan, regenerating a 150,000 sq. ft. disused railway station. The development of the first Mercato Metropolitano was carefully planned to retain the site’s original appearance and character, protecting the local community’s affection for a unique part of their urban history.
Over a four-month period, we saw 2 million visitors with a customer spend over £8 million!
We’re grateful for the journey we find ourselves navigating.
Our concept evolved successfully, and we opened our first site in London, Elephant and Castle, in 2016.
You can now find Mercato Mayfair, MMy Elephant Park and MMy Wood Wharf!

Healthy, sustainable, living food made with rural, artisanal practices
Supply chains that prioritise quality over price and make good, healthy food available
